About DetailPad

DetailPad is a collection of free tools for network administrators, system administrators, developers, IT support staff and students preparing for certifications such as CCNA, Network+ and Linux exams.

How the tools work

Every calculator and converter runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter, such as IP addresses, tokens or Base64 data, is sent to a server. The pages work offline once loaded and can be installed as an app.

Accuracy

Results follow the relevant standards (for example RFC 950 and RFC 4632 for subnetting, RFC 3021 for /31 links and RFC 4648 for Base64). Where it helps, each tool shows how the answer is calculated so you can verify it yourself. The calculation logic is covered by automated tests.

Shareable results

The input of each tool is stored in the page URL, so you can bookmark a calculation or send it to a colleague.
